Roseville Skate School

General Program Information

Welcome to the Roseville Skate School! The Roseville Skating School is under the direction of the Roseville Parks and Recreation Department and is run in accordance with the Learn to Skate USA program. We are dedicated to provide a quality ice skating program for the recreational to advanced skaters.

Our snowplow and basic skills classes introduce participants to the fundamentals of ice skating in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Freestyle and synchronized class are for intermediate to advanced skaters who have passed the proper levels through LTSUSA. To help make sure you skater is prepared and can have an enjoyable experience please read the information below.

Yearly Sessions

We offer three separate sessions a year, fall, winter/spring & summer. Additional information about each session can be viewed via the tabs. We also offer a variety of daytime classes throughout the year, providing flexible options for participation.

There are three sessions a year:

Fall Session: September - November (8 week program)

Winter/Spring Session: December - April (16 week program) with option of participating in annual Ice Show (April)

Summer Session: June - August (8 week session)

Daytime classes are also available throughout the year. Each session is 30 minutes with an additional 30 minutes of practice time.

TESTING LEVELS & REQUIREMENTS 

The Roseville Skate School follows the Learn to Skate USA (LTSUSA) program, a structured instructional system designed to foster skill development through a logical progression. Each level builds upon the skills mastered in the previous one, providing a seamless learning experience. This program is especially appealing to first-time skaters, as it introduces skills they can confidently achieve right from the start.

Learn to Skate USA

Roseville Skate School is proud to be transitioning to the Learn to Skate USA program! To participate, all skaters must have an active annual membership with Learn to Skate USA. This membership is required to register for any Roseville Skate School classes and must be obtained before signing up. The annual membership fee is $17.00.

All skaters in Learn to Skate will require a Learn to Skate USA Membership that runs annually from July 1 through June 30 of the following year. You must purchase the membership directly through Learn to Skate USA - your membership number is required to register for classes.
